It's a 100% stock bike. I thought the exhaust looked big, too. I'll by putting a new exhaust on her. I like the exhaust pipe that runs underneath the seat. You practically can't see it.

My co-worker's R6 has the stock exhaust and it's huge as well. I think so few people keep them stock that everyone's used to the smaller (louder) aftermarket units.

On the subject of Honda's usage of monsterous, heavy exaust cans.  WHY?  I've never understood why when lots of weight and size could be saved,  Honda continues to hang these battleships on their bikes.  I'm sure this pig iron is cheaper, but is it worth it?  Any thoughts on this?

To what are you comparing Honda's exhausts?

Here's an R6:

Here's a GSXR:

The stock exhausts all seem to be that huge...

Ya, all four big Jap makers are doing it, not just Honda.  Note to Kaw, Suz, Hon, Yam:  go ahead and bolt on a lightweight, good flowing exhaust that makes torque!  We'll (the consumer) pay the extra cost!  Melt down those present exhaust cans for railroad rails!

Those big exhaust cans are to please the EPA for pollution and noise control.
Certain municipalities are already cracking down on non OEM and loud exhausts.
The OEM exhausts have never bothered me, I will admit the exhausts are not
pretty, but some bikes look okay with them. I really like the looks of the CB919
with the exhaust up under the seat though.
