I'm a fan of Olympia gear--I bought a Patton jacket on closeout in summer 2008 and have been using it exclusively until this week.

I decided I needed something that vented better for the summer months.  I've had my eye on the Olympia Stealth suit since I bought that Patton jacket, but vanity (afraid I'd look ridiculous) kept me from buying it.   Last week I found a 1 year old, used suit on eBay in the correct size.  I went for it.

Tonight was my second ride it in (first was a quick run to get gas and milk), and I'm very pleased.   It takes no more than 1 minute to put on, and it vents like you aren't wearing much of anything as long as you are moving

It still won't help me ride comfortably in 100F weather in the St Louis area (with 80% humidity), but it should allow me to ride to work in weather up to 90F).   (I'd wear the Patton jacket and Aerostich AD1 overpants in the mid to upper 80s.)

I'm quite pleased.

I know what you mean about the looks.  However convenient, one-piece suits have that unbroken coverall look.

The MSRP is pretty good, especially as I've never found Olympia to be of dubious construction or materials.

I'm like the idea of a one piece summer mesh riding suit.  Besides seeming a bit less expensive (saves all the overlapping stuff), the ability to shed it quickly is highly desirable...and it's easier to lock one thing up than two.

However, the full-length side leg zippers seem unnecessary to me, and I know this part blew out on my First Gear mesh riding pants last slide.

Those full leg zippers contribute to the ease of getting in and out of it.  And also allowed me access to my wallet when I gassed up.  But I do hope they don't blow out if I go for slide.    yikes

Oh, and I got the pewter/neon yellow.   I actually think the silver looks a bit too spacesuit-like.

I've commuted two days in the stealth.  So easy to get in and so much air flows through it.

I'm still quite self-conscious about it, though.  I take it off and put it on at the bike, and carry it into work with me.   I may decide to roll it up and stuff it in a side bag.  I'm sure after a few more days (or weeks, or months) I'll stop caring what people think of its looks.    shog
