So I was perusing craigslist yesterday as I do waaay too much and ran across a helmet deal that was just too good to pass up. I found a Vega V-Tune helmet that had been worn once, decided it was too small and forgotten about till it was too late return it so they had it listed for $125.  After going online and seeing the $229 price tag and positive reviews I made the call. Here's a link to the manufacturer..... http://www.vegahelmet.com/v-tune.html

Good question. I know there's a built in lithium ion battery but I don't know if it's removable. I would hope so. I'll check tonight when I get home

I got to play with the new helmet briefly when I went home for lunch. It connects up to my phone via bluetooth no problem and plays musice just fine.  I can even change songs while riding.  I do have turn the volume up to full on the phone before I synch up to the helmet though otherwise the phone won't let me overide the volume manually on the phone. I can turn the volume up and down on the helmet afterwards no problem. I even called Steph at work to check the voice dialing and clarity. Granted I wasn't riding at the time but it worked great sitting in my basement. ricky
