I know, it's not really a "motorcycle trip" as such - oh well, that's coming.

The river is the Fraser River and the shot of the flag was from Buddy's place, the seller of the bike.

There's almost a record number of sockeye salmon returning to the Fraser this year, 30 million.

The all-time high was 38 million in 1913.

That's why the fisherman look so happy.

:)

Great scenery despite the somewhat ominous clouds.

So... did you get the bike? scratcher

Yep, I got it.  Now I'm working on it.  I pulled the carbs three times already and will probably need to do it again.  It needs new rubber too.  But it runs on ether.

Beautiful scenery, except the traffic part. I can see that here.  Hap1

Yeah, thats the trans-Canada highway, too.  It's supposed to be like warp-speed/hyperspace - but there's a ton of construction going on right now thats jamming everything up.

Oh well - at this rate, by the time I get the bike running it'll be winter anyway.

When I do get on the road with it, I'll be posting lots of trip reports.  I had to sell my ocean kayak because my back can't take the prolonged sitting in one position.  A lot of kayakers go down this path - they give up kayaking and get a motorcycle.  I got into the habit of taking lots of photos of my kayak trips and posting trip reports online - I'll do the same with the bike (if I ever get it going).

Thanks for commenting.
