I have a HJC CL-Max helmet and just got a breath guard for it. Has anyone installed one of these. The instructions that came with it is for another style breath guard. The one I have has the snaps on it that would lead you to believe it connects to the snaps on helmet. Sent HJC email with this, no response. Thanks in advance.

Sure you got the right one for it? The one for my CL-SP doesn't have snaps, just Velcro and two ports for the air intake.

I think you're right, I could make this one work but it would take some doing.

I have a CS-R1 (base helmet) and there is no breath guard for it that I can see.  Where did you get yours?

I got mine from a place I found on the internet called Currie Bros. Motorsports. They had the best price and it was in stock. There's a bunch of places that has the breath guards, if you can find one locally, I'd go for that even if it costs little more. Still not convinced the part number I got from HJC is the right one for my CL-Max helmet, directions that came with guard was for another style. Below is the email I sent and the response I got from HJC, at least they emailed me back I guess. Any other ideas how I can keep face shield from fogging up in the mornings on my ride to work?

The breath guard I bought for CL-Max helmet (Part # 815-005) came with instructions for a different style breath guard. How does this thing connect? Thanks in advance. Jim

Dear Jim:

Thank you for your enthusiasm in HJC.

In response to your inquiry, connecting the breath box is pretty simple.  Just lift up the front chin bar and unsnap the cheek pads, you will see one hole on each sides, attach the plastic black piece edge on the breath box onto the area of the hole then reattach back the pads.

It just redirects your breath so it won't fog up face shield, just need it on cold -damp rides. Snowmobilers use them.
