Had a great 130 mile ride today, following NC Scenic byways. Ended up getting some good ice cream. Great topper to a great day.

A complete ride report is at http://dalewarren.blogspot.com/

I envy you Doc,  hopefully some of the scenery we see this weekend will compare to what you seem to see on a weekly basis.  thumb

I'm amazed at what I'm discovering in my back yard. I never knew. The best part of today's ride was that I could sneak right out of town without fighting any city traffic or actually any city streets.

I too usually stop for ice cream.....it's getting addicting.  Think I'll go for the homemade beef jerky joint next ride.

There's always something strapped on the back upon arriving home.

Fresh bakery bread, pies, farm stand fruits and vegetables, slabs of ribs, buckets of chicken, pizzas, flea market finds, you name it.

Usually has to do with eating tho....

Clearly, this has been a most pleasant surprise in the last year, second only to meeting your people.  When I was motorcycling 20 years ago, I was fixated on the speedo.  Now, I hardly look at the gages.

I'm finding that 45-55 mph back roads to be the Sanguine Steed's forte.

Relaxing riding, stopping to photo and enjoy are great, but sometimes I like to rip through like a tornado.

I like sailing too. I usually like the relaxed steady cruise. One where I can put my feet up and enjoy the day. One of my buddies always likes to race. Its a matter of style. However, I like a brisk breeze every now and then. Its just easier to get in trouble when the wind is up.
