Lousy resolution and you can't read the words on the sign (Let it snow), but here's one from my ride home tonight.

Oooo, forgot about this one! Some pics from spring break.

On the twisty (And covered with gravel traps from a recent snow) road to Montebello, Virginia.

This is the gravel road I was considering going down until I read that sign (4WD only) and noted my thoroughly trashed tires. Not to mention it had recently snowed.

The front wasn't much better.

It's more artsy this way, no?

My favorite of the trip.

Perhaps that's a bit much for anything but a ride report, but I figured you guys wouldn't get too upset.

This is an overlook at Pine Mountain, GA., just outside of Warm Springs, GA. When FDR was president, he would come to  Warm Springs and soak in the springs to help his polio. The Little White House, his Warm Springs residence, still stands and is a big tourist attraction. FDR would take picnics at the location of this photo. It was one of his favorite places to relax.

Last weekend in Central Texas.  My cell doesn't do the bluebonnets justice.   A wet spring has produced a bumper crop of wildflowers here.

Here is a few photos from last May. Actually 8th of May, 2011. My 450 NH and my friend's 1999 Kawasaki W650 on the beach. The scenery is from Pulkkilanharju which is located app. 30 km (19 miles) north from my home. The road goes along a narrow neck of land and there is water seen in all the time. Many small bridges and rest places to stop and view landscape. Very beautiful place and nice to ride with a bike. Here is also a link to Google Street View http://maps.google.fi/?ll=61.266726,25.521111&spn=0.011285,0.042272&t=m&z=15&layer=c&cbll=61.266786,25.521135&panoid=nzqCsHmaFF4Taj2wMzjpqQ&cbp=12,313.31,,0,1.74

Btw, Kawasaki W650 is not bad at all even if it's not a Nighthawk!  happy1 Very nice bike to ride. Hmm... have to think if my friend some day decide to sell it.

Went out for a ride today and happened to pass Vasquez Rocks (a Los Angeles County park).  This park is named for Tiburcio Vasquez who was a Californio bandit between 1854-1874.  These rocks were one of his hideouts.  Due to their scenic nature and easy access from Hollywood, these rocks have been used in many movies and TV shows.

That's cool RR.  Of course I know the area from watching too many Star Trek reruns.
