I agree with pulling over (if possible) and letting the jag go by. If I end up in a situation where I can't immediately pull over, I quickly look for the nearest escape route. 4 wheels will always win over 2 in a battle for supremacy.

I never thought of my bikes as a way to comute in heavy traffic road rage and stress ain`t for me . All I ever want is the wind in my face and some space on the rual roads to call my own . Where I live is very biker friendly ...that means alot ...Most of the guys that live in the city end up around my place on weekend rides , some great twisty roads with little traffic , my worst fear on the road is the possums on a half shell I have to dodge ...

Makes a big difference where you live. Here, risk aside, it can by far be better than car. I had a 70 mile r/t ride yesterday. As "luck" would have it, both directions, when I jumped on the freeway I landed smack in the middle of accident backups that took 6 lanes down to one. That meant 12 miles of parked cars. If I hadn't been on a bike I would probably still be out there.

God bless lane splitting. I wish GA would see the light.... The way I figure. Most cops will not be in the traffic jam. They know what is going on on the roads. And in the off chance one does get caught in traffic what can they really do? They are stuck with everyone else. I just split anyway in these cases. All be it VERY slow. Slow like 5-10mph slow. If I do see a cop ahead I just won't pass him. Well at least not where he can see my plate.

Yeah, even in des moines there aren't that many real traffic jams, even on the interstate. though some of the main roads can get a bit congested.

I personally like to scare the shizzle out of them. coming up to a stop light I'll just lock the back tire up a little...just enough they can hear it. they usually change lanes after...I know its not safe, but a bike that only weights about 280LBs its pretty easy to control.

Well it is 355Lb WET from the factory. and around 280 is just a guess since Stick-boy me can lift the whole bike

Have you ever tried that trick while wearing a full face helmet? All you do is make a mess on the inside of the visor/chinbar/chin curtain. I was going to say, I tried this once and was very disappointed...

Factory Dry is 305 wet is 355. Sauce = Manual I don't see 50Lb of fluid in this thing.... completely full the tank can't be more then 25-30Lb and then just over a gallon of coolant and the little bit of oil it uses...

You probably have a pound or so of brake fluid. Roughly 43 pounds, based on my rough density estimates.
