Ain't gonna happen for me (double negative... sorry).

On rally day, if the sun rises in the East, and the NH starts, I'll be there.  You can count on that.

Well, when I get around to my ride report for the last week, it's gonna look pretty similar...except I was pretty timid with the Dragon.  And I went up to Mount Mitchell!
I really liked Rt 28, aka the Hellbender.  And I managed to avoid the law.

Many of us at the Rally (including me) feel the same way.  Hwy 28 and the Cherohola Skyway are overall better IMO.  They are more picturesque.  The Dragon is cool, but it's so technical and with the cops all over it, there's always a concern.  Thankfully, both times I rode the Dragon, it was completely empty, but I hear during peak times, the bike traffic can be dangerous.

Man, I can't wait to get back there.

Cherohala is more fun. I agree. I like roads that you can maintain a higher speed on while still getting into some great sweepers, etc. Deals gap is fun, but it's so technical that it's hard to enjoy it. Plus bike traffic can be crazy sometimes. We rode 28, and Wayah rd which were both a lot of fun. Wayah had gravel in some of the turns, but was fun overall.

I can't wait for the rally!
