Nice looking bike Jen  thumb

Can't wait to see more pics and reading about the repairs to make it 'good' again.

I will have to see what the schedule is looking like when the time approaches in 2011 - this year it was a 'forced vacation'

My girl's parents owned a cabin in northwest GA.  I went up to help them move out, and in the process got a 3 day motorcycle vacation out of it!  We rode all around the area, stopped on robbinsville one night, pigeon forge the next, and then rode home via deals gap, and the cherohala skyway (my favorite) again.

I hope they get another house up there soon, the hills are nice to ride in... It has spoiled the CBR for down here.  Too many long and flat roads.

I will post pics in a separate thread soon, but our crew consisted of two guys (one was her father) on hardlys, fully dressed and accessorized of course.  Two fellas on 750 magnas. A ducati monster, a superhawk vtr 1000, a gsxR seven fiddy, and my cbr.  We went in twos, two old technology vtwins, two new tech vtwins, two v-4s, and two I-4 sportbikes.

It was a good time!

And yes, its the f2... Be very jealous!  If I have it up to the dragon I will have to see about stopping by to see your motorcycle collection!

I can't register for this site because it won't let me use any of my email addresses. I think it has to be something .org or .mil or something...anybody know?

Oh sorry, they're retards about new registrations. The only way to get in is to have a current member PM an admin to create an account for you. If you're okay with coffee_brake as a username I'll ask a mod to create an account (PM me the email address you'd like to use). I think they also open registration for an hour a day or something, it's really stupid. I've complained over and over again about it but nothing's changed.

No, paint set has been sourced and set aside, tank has been stripped. Just wasn't about to touch it in the hot weather but now it's cooling down.

There was an Interceptor that had me do a second glance while I was at the used bike shop trying on Bandits.

Nice find!  Sorry you have to part with with the VMax to keep her though.

Well it seems a high price for a sprocket....

and these sprockets only have 5k miles on them. Even the chain, while filthy, is not rusted and moves freely.
It's home now, sitting in the truck waiting for hubby to help me unload.
I should not have done this....  Sad

I told you it was rough.....waiting on daylight.....

Hubby helped me get the bike off the ramp and even held the bike up so I could sit on it and make "vroom vroom!" noises...I hope I haven't made a mistake.

The Vmax is kicking my butt, I can't get the flywheel off and I've broken a lot of tools trying. Frustrated isn't the word for it....

How would a VFR forum help her with the VMax?

Now remember I sais it was in rough shape cosmetically. And it needs a whole lotta stuff before I will even touch the paint and bodywork: tires, battery, fork seals, caplier rebuild, carb cleaning, coolant hoses.

It could be worse. It could be in several boxes. Looks like a great canvas to start with.

Hahahaha.... I looooove that "Gear Driven Cams" is plastered on the side. It's hilarious that Honda took such a beating for the cam failures in the early V4 engines that they needed to advertise this on the side of the bike.
ImaPoser

That will be way fun to fix up, and I'm sure it will sound mean with that exhaust.
