I got this jacket a while back, because it should be warmer than my mesh.  It is.  It's probably a pretty good deal for $65.

I'll let you know how it hold up.

I nabbed one from Newenough.com also. I like it so far. It fits well, has good protection and blocks the wind but has enough vents to stay comfortable. But best of all, the blue is color coordinated with my bike.   banana

I hope to never test the protection features but I'm prepared should the situation arise.

I used it this last weekend.  It was great at 50 degrees... my hands and legs got cold, but the wind protection is really good.

What color is your lid fish? If it won't clash with the red get the red.

This came today and is a real nice, well made jacket and value for the money!

I gets the Fish rating (from 1-4 thumbs)  thumb thumb thumb thumb

It has elbow, shoulder and back armor and you can't tell it's even there. Very comfortable indeed!                     Plenty of venting and waterproof mid liner. Removable full sleeve insulated inner liner too.

The sizes are exact, so if you want a little room get the next bigger.

The size chart is stated as this:

      Chest Size   Sleeve Length
Small    42             26
Medium 44             26.5
Large   46              27
XL       48              27.5
XXL     50              28

But my XXL came with it's tag reading; XXL 48, not 50. (perfecto for me....)

Only thing I would have liked would have been a taller collar.....(looks taller in the pics than it is )

Wait, the size is the span of the jacket, or the chest size it fits?
I can't believe that 42 is considered a small.

As I said my XXL was listed as a 50 but came with the sewn in tag stating XXL48.

Maybe they should all be backed down one size on that chart, making a small a 40.

Anyway, if I actually measure my chest size it's exactly 44, but the 48 fits perfectly if that helps.

I think they email a return label for free.....nothing lost to try.

I like that jacket...I"m trying to work on a deal with an ebayer for a Joe Rocket Superhawk.  I might get a $400 jacket for $90 if it works out, but if it doesn't I might look into one of those tourmasters for a winter jacket.  think2

The spine protector on the Joe is an $81 option...leather in the rain?

The Jett is pretty damn sweet Ari, no kiddin'.

It's much more than just a cold weather jacket....I'd say only in extreme heat would it get too warm with it's liner out, because it has a permanent waterproof mid-liner. Would be the bomb for everything else.

Ah, makes more sense.  In the world of tailoring, four inches of extra fabric around the chest is fairly standard to allow freedom of movement.

I think the sizes on the newenough site are off by one. I normally take a 44 jacket so I ordered a medium per the sizing chart. When it came, the tag said 42 Medium and it was just too snug. I had to return it and got a Large which came as a 44. Newenough makes the return very easy but if they had the right size chart it wouldn't have been necessary.  eek7
