my nane is brian wilson and i live in pittsburgh pa. i just got a nice 86cb450 nighthawk and was stoked to find this board. ive owned several cb750's from the seventies and have alwase wanted a nighthawk. i got the chance this summer afer a visit to nashville and jumped on it. she's all stock but missing a few little parts and needs a fresh paint job but i'm totaly in love with this little honda. i will get pics up this weekend when i go out to my parents(i live in an apt. with no garage). one thing i really want is the stock fairing i see on all the nighthawks. im also looking for the stock brake lever that is missing. anyway i look forward to hangin out and contributing as much as i can to the board.

to the forum! Keep your eye on eBay, that's one of the best sources for the parts we need. Can't wait to see some pics, take care of it and ride safe!

Welcome from Maryland. Are you the Brian Wilson that the Barenaked Ladies are singing about?

Are you the Brian Wilson that the Barenaked Ladies are singing about? Those Canucks sing aboot him? I like his Smile! album, and it's a real treat when he shows up in that Theremin documentary. Anyway, you can try a local Honda dealer for an an OEM part (# 53175-MA5-671) but an aftermarket brake lever (my bike has one - it's fine) will be much cheaper. Isn't this an unfaired bike? I'm not sure what fairing you are describing....just one of those universal flyscreens or windscreens?

Your sister is building a Triumph!? Awesome, she would fit right in with the wrench girls we have on here, they are all better mechanics and riders than us fellas...and smarter too! Just ask them, they'll tell ya.

Oh, you're talking about the Nighthawk 700s fairing. One aftermarket option if you can't find an original Honda fairing is the Rifle Nightflight fairing. Either way it won't be cheap unless you're good at fiberglass repair.
