First I want to thank Laminar and Snoopy for all their help.  I would not have been able to do this without their assistance.

Now THAT's a sincere expression.  If I looked like that when I take pictures, I'd smile.

Ride safe my friend.  Can't wait to ride with you again.

Another hilarious anecdote:

Soup wanted to do an oil change at my place before taking off. I picked up 4 quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic motorcycle oil and a K&N filter from Advance Auto yesterday on my lunch break ($60 total  bugey). I tossed the grocery-style bag under the cargo net on the back of the Nighthawk and went back to work.

Soup called shortly after four so I went out to pull the bag off the Nighthawk and found...three quarts of oil. Oops. We didn't have time to go back and pick up another quart so he just eschewed the oil change for now.

So last night after basketball I retraced my route from Advance Auto to work and lo and behold, about three blocks from Advance there was a quart of Mobil one on the edge of the road in near-perfect condition. Phew.
