First person to look at the Nighthawk took it home. My phone was blown up all day with buyers. One person offered to buy one of the other Nighthawks, which i am inclined to do. That will still leave me plenty to ride, and that is fine. I will try to get some photos of the Bandit tomorrow and post them.

Opened up the 1200 for the hundred miles to my parents' house, I thought I was late and I was COOKING IT all the way there. Took it easy on the way back in the dark.
Well over 40 mpg, I couldn't be more pleased (or more comfortable, with the Corbin)....

I'm a little dissapointed in the "new" Bandits. They are full faring bikes now and I think that takes away fro the coolness of the previous Bandits. Plus, the price increase of the new ones doesn't help either.

In any case, I haven't been keeping up with this thread and didn't realize that DBracing bought one. Congrats on the new bike. She is beautiful.

This forum is going to end up needing a Bandit sub section to it.  poke And to think...I'm partially to blame for the Bandit revolution here. How do I sleep at night???? Not too bad with all the recent medication the Dr put me on.  ImaPoser

They still have the half-fared Bandit, but you are right, the price is a bit high. Whenever I get one, it will be used for sure.

If you keep your eyes open, you can find nice bandits for a reasonable price all the way down to a steal. It is the law of supply and demand that creates the deal, and lots of people have yet to discover the Bandit.

I have installed a set of Buell foot pegs on mine that lower them 1 inch, and it has made it even more comfy than it already was. As soon as I can find a longer brake line, I will install the bar risers and all will be right in the world....

This is truly a magnificent bike.
