Are they still in production? If so, I would gladly purchase one. But if they are not,...is it really a violation?

I think your best bet is going to be watching ebay, IIRC they come up every so often.  I think a mint condition one just got sold on there.

You could go to the dealer and see if they can order you one of these:
Honda Owner's Manual (84 model): Part # 31MJ1600 --- $10.80ea
Honda Owner's Manual (85 model): Part # 31MJ1610 --- $10.80ea
Honda Owner's Manual (86 model): Part # 31MJ1620 --- $10.80ea
