That's a pretty cool ride right there. My father-in-law's ride is sorta similar. VF1100 Sabre. It's really fun to ride so Im sure this one is even better in twisties.

Nice bike! A friend of mine had one of these in the 80's. When I told her I was looking for a bike, she tried to talk me into getting an Interceptor. I opted to go the Nighthawk route, but I'm seriously considering adding a VFR to the stable.... RWB of course!

Ahh, yes the "other" 1985 bike I have always lusted for, the 500 Interceptor. That is SOOOOOO SWEET. I would love to have one of those in my garage to alternate days with my 85 Nighthawk S.

That was my first bike! I loved that little thing. I think I still have the lower fairing for it somewhere to make it a full fairing.

I can not believe how good that bike looks! When you get her home and all cleaned up how about some HQ detail shots to show it off!

Thanks for all the kind words. I have some TLC to perform before I can ride it, one of the floats is malfunctioning and causing a gas leak so I will be pulling the carbs and give them a cleaning. Most of the fuel lines are brittle and cracked, so I will be replacing them. Hopefully, I won't find any other issues and I will be able to take 'er fer a spin next week some time.

Update. I have spent quite a bit of time rebuilding carbs, rebuilding the clutch slave, tracking down electrical glitches, adjusting valves and generally checking everything I can think of. Took the 1st ride today! Bike runs great, surpasses my expectations. I think it's a keeper.
