Resurrecting an old idea - in the year since I'm back into motorcycling, my list has changed.
If money was no object, and you could only have 5 bikes, which 5 would you pick?
Here's my current list (in no particular order)
1. 'Ole Yella - 'nuff said
2. Yamaha FJR - for the road trips and rides with SOQS
3. KLR650
4. A Vmax with the loudest exhasut I could find for bike nights
5. 12xx Bandit (the naked one).

My list...I cheated and just picked categories for a couple...I figure keeping my options open makes the possibility of it happening greater!
1. Literhawk (complete with spare engine/tranny from a '94 CBR1000F) 2. Bigger sport touring bike- Bandit 1250s, FJR 1300, etc. 3. ADV bike- KLR 650, Vstrom, etc. 4. BMW S1000RR - you know...for track days. 5. Honda Nighthawk 250- to teach non riders how to ride = more riders!

Funny how things change over time due to better understanding and properly defined need.
1. BMW Xchallenge - with modifications 2. CB650 - restoration project
3. Something simple (bigish scooter?) that can be given to a friend of mine for store runs and such.
4 and 5 can be given to someone else. There's no room for more than two on the trailer thus they'd have to be left behind anyway.

Just wish for a nice enclosed trailer! That would be silly. I'm hard enough on my equipment without adding unnecessary length and flimsy complexity to things. I've been known to break rocks - regularly.

Holy smokes! I can't believe ONLY one person has a ZRX1200R in their list!!!!! That or my CB700SC would be battling for the first bike on my list... I would have thought many more people would have had the ZRX atleast somewhere in their list Oh well, more for me!!!

In no particular order: 1. Triumph Sprint ST for sport touring. 2. Modern KTM 250 two stroke for dirt biking duties. 3. Some kinda Buell 1200 for my street fighter bike. 4. New Triumph Tiger 800 cause it simply looks like a blast. 5. Ducati Multistrada for dual sport duties. Funny, no Japanese bikes made the list . List could change in the next 15 minutes though, lol.

In no particular order, but with the ZRX definitely close to the top. Kawasaki ZRX 1XXX - In GREEN only! Honda CB 750 (European version) RWB Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Custom (for those cruisery days) Yamaha FZ 8 Ducati Monster 796 **No, my lovely NH 750 did not make my wish list because this is just that a WISH LIST and I already have her.

Aging must be doing me some good since I no longer crave a large stable. This is the same person that owned 7 cars (try parking 7 cars in LA! ) so I've learned that while it is easy to acquire vehicles it isn't easy to constantly use them all and the ones that sit become testy and begin to rot and break. The only thing, I think, that would be nice to have is some sort of tourer. I have done all I can to the Bonneville but it'll never be a real long distance road bike. Fortunately, I've found nothing that seems to work for me so I'm not lusting over anything at this point, that doesn't mean I'm not always looking though. Old habits die hard.

There's a 'Wing in my near future. Mostly because Angel wants to ride, and while the ST works, it's not the ideal situation for more than around town and short rides.
The ST, either 1100 or 1300 seems to be my favorite.
I want something different and/or unusual. Something eye catching and worthy of stangers stopping you for pics.
I dunno, maybe a Can Am Spyder or other reverse trike?
My 96 750.
Honestly I can't see ever owning that many bikes. I only have the ST and the NH now, and the poor 750 sits way more than I'd like. My son will soon be bringing back my 700S, and I'll need to decide what to do with at least one of the bikes.
