Well, here it is.  My 2006 ZZR 600.  I just got it right before work today, so I can't really say much about it.  Paid $3000 out the door with only 12k on the speedo.  Not too bad all said and done.  Finally got a job where i'm not broke all the time, makes it nice to be able to afford stuff like this again.  Too bad the Hawk had to go live elsewhere though.  Ah well, nobody here would have wanted it anyway lol.  But ok, just wanted to share with you guys cause I know it's been awhile and between moving from TX to OK and this new job, I haven't had much time.

Nice looking bike, I agree with the positive comments on the silver color.  I think silver looks great on a curvy body style.  Be safe!!

The seat looks generous for a sport bike.  The front turn signals look very visable.  The rear turn signals look pointless.

Looking forward to hearing your impressions once you ride it a while.

That looks great.  I remember the ZZR getting great reviews when it came out.

Thanks all!  I'm glad to own a bike again so that I have something to talk about again lol.  So far, I'm loving it.  I've only ridden it a handful of times as I just got it Tuesday.  Got myself lost tonight, oh darn!, and ended up riding for an hour, my longest ride on it yet.  I've got 0 complaints other than that I just bought it and it's getting kinda chilly :)

As for the details on the bike itself, I'm afraid I don't know much.  I got it from a dealership who only had it a week.  From doing a quick search on the internet just now, it looks like the tail light is stock while the rear signals aren't.  I've never put on an aftermarket pipe so I don't know much about this one, but I know it's pleasantly loud while not being obnoxious.  Well, for a sport bike I guess it's average.  Whoever removed the rear fender did a pretty horrible job though, as the lil trunk thingy under the seat is more or less useless at this point as it appears they used a grinder to remove it and cut a big ol hole in the trunk.  I'll have to find a way to reseal it so whatever I put in there doesn't fly on top of the back tire.

Definately a lot more get-up-and-go than my previous bikes, the S40 and NH 450.  I've never been a big fan of sport bikes, as I've preferred the look of the cruisers and classic bikes.  The thrill of the sport bike put a seed in me awhile back after riding some of my buddies bikes.  Luckily I've got enough experience and gotten my first bad accident out of the way so that I know I'll probably never push it to it's limits.  I passed up an 03 600rr with custom exhaust and power commander for this reason.  Didn't need all that lol.  This may not hold it's value as well, but for $3k, I can't really complain.

Oh, on a side note, the headlight is AWESOME compared to every other bike I've ridden and the rear signals seems to put out enough light to perfectly visible.  I do like the look of flush-mount signals so if I can find some front/rears that match that put out enough light, I'll probably make that my only real mod other than fixing the trunk.  I see no reason to street fighter it like my buddy wants me to do or add anything on to get more out of it.  According to bikez.com the tank has a capacity of "18.16 litres (4.80 gallons)"  Haven't emptied it out enough yet to fill it up myself to find out for sure lol.
