I'm afraid our weather doesn't get cold enough to render a good test.  However, I have ridden with these gloves down to 40 degrees and like them very much:

i have the nitrogen gloves too thanks to hppants but if its under 40f i have tourmaster synergy electric gloves which work well unplugged down to about 35f for me

You should check out British Motorcycle Gear.  I've got some of their stuff (Challenger jacket and Ezeon pants) and it is great quality and fits Knox armor in shoulders, elbows and back in the jacket and knee and thighs in the pants.  A couple of my buddies have gone with the Mercury jacket and have also loved it.  Bang for the buck, I think it's pretty hard to beat.

For colder riding, you may want to check out:

I ride in my Olympia Phantom one piece suit down into the 30's with nothing but a t-shirt and shorts beneath.  Once in the 30's, layering some sweat pants and a battery operated heated vest toast me up quickly, and I've stayed comfy down to 19* so far this year like that.
