You are willing to lose that bike over $150?

I know. sounds crazy doesn't it?  But I am. I'm not infatuated with the bike, and after seeing the bike in person, I got a number in my head that I am not willing to go over.   Right now his last price is $150 away from that number.  I'm going to play hardball.

If it sells to someone else, I can live with that.  Lots of bikes out there for sale everyday, I'm not dead set on this one.

Excellent attitude to have...Rule #1: Don't fall in love with a bike that isn't yours yet...it's pricey.

I'm betting he will come down.  Maybe not today, but eventually.
