Hi All,
My first ride report.  These are images from when Mrs.Falban and I were scouring eastern Long Island in a vain attempt to compete with Burgi and Pants (heck, and everyone else too - did we even place??) in the side game.  We had such a beautiful day out that I've wanted to share just a few of the photos anyway.  Enjoy!

The Big Duck - Flanders

Briermere.  Home of lard-based pie crusts.  Mmmmmmmm...lard.

The church on Church Ln.  Bonus points for wedding in progress?

Hangin' with the Hogs

Claudio's in Greenport.  Definitely not a chain, unless you count their clam bar out on the dock.

If you put img tags on each side of the picture link they will appear here on the forum.

You can also highlight the link and press the button at the top there.

like so....click quote to see the code. Actually I had to drill down to the image and saved that as the link.

Thanks for sharing though.

Yea, I'd like them to just be in the post, and was sure I was on the right track - alas...
I'll get it though!

<later that same day> LOKi - I got it - thanks for cluing me in.

End of the line on Long Island's north fork.  South fork coming soon.

Jaws III - this wasn't a tag, but how could I resist?  We used to play on this when we were kids (my how things have changed  ricky).

Mrs.F on the ferry.  The camera settings were knocked around in the saddle bag, but I liked her smile  happy1

No covered bridges to be had, but my buddy just happened to be wearing a shirt from the Downsville Covered Bridge - http://www.coveredbridgesite.com/ny/downsville.html

Montauk Manor - purported to be haunted by Native Americans buried on the grounds.

The End, south fork.

Still in Montauk.

Friendly neighborhood fireman.  The truck is from 1959.

It's from 1931.  Local farmer used to sell eggs out of it, but now it's a tourist info place - at least that's the official story... naughty

I'd forgotten that the pre-1875 building had to be red brick so we tagged Miss Amelia's Cottage (that doesn't sound right...).

Hold on while I get my reading glasses.

Totally random wooden wagon on someone's (Poopsie's??) front lawn.

"26) Your bike with a freshly caught fish."  Now that's fresh!

VFW Memorial in East Hampton with the POW/MIA flag flying.

 eek7

Three blocks from our home back in the city, after being in the saddle all day, a tap-tap-tapping on my shoulder accompanied by a muffled voice crying out:  "'106) Your bike next to a household, front lawn Halloween display (that is not yours).'!!"

Thanks forum for sparking such a great day of memory-making.

Thanks Pants.  We had a great time.  I hope to be posting in the Refrigerated Rider Contest, but she's done 'till the spring.
