This was around November in North Carolina, heading to the Blue Ridge parkway!  This was my first time riding corners and switch-backs like this!

Highway 80  is a blast, and you want to have some real fun, go up dragging a 18 foot toy hauler camper behind you.  Dad has a place just south of the Blue Ridge parkway, on highway 80, Busick, North Carolina.  We go there often and ride.  Haven't counted the turns yet, but it is 13 miles from Marion to the Parkway.  More turns than the dragon, I think, and requires more finesse, as few of them are banked.  Since the SOQS and I had ridden Highway 80 many times, when we got down the Dragon on our first trip, we stopped, looked at each other and said, "What is this all about???"  The dragon wasn't all that crooked to us.  Also given the fact that the speed limit is 55 mph on highway 80, and not enforced.  You can't go that fast, even on a crotch rocket.

Very nice video, kudos to you for taking it easy your first time through.  Many people who have been riding for years get in an area like that and lose their head, often with disasterous results.  Also, a pennytech tip for you:  If your camera has a microphone with the little pinholes to pick up sound you can tape a cottonball over them and reduce wind noise.  Keep on riding and keep on shooting!

P.S. You should try to be in the area for the 2011 rally, it would be a blast to meet up with you and hear some stories.

If it's possible I would really like to join the group.  It would be a long ride there and back and I don't know if I would have the time.
