I'm an IT consultant and I end up having to go all over the Dallas Metro area in the course of work. Sometimes I have to pick up or drop off packages either for work or on the way home, I'm always carting gear around, and the Nighthawk gets ridden all over the place. Here are some more or less typical pictures of it in "work clothing."

 super Work to ride!

The box seems less than secure in the second photo, but you're clearly more experienced with bulky cargo than I.  I've had problems toting long skinny items, like wiper blades and cutain rods.  Still, I'll recommend a pair of ROK Straps.

On my previous bike I had a big Rocket Locker tail bag that replaced the passenger pillion, and it allowed me to do grocery runs with relative ease.  Loved it because it didn't change the footprint of the bike.

When dismounting, do you always remember there is a big box behind you?  Pretty sure I've fallen on my butt at least once after my airborne right* foot discovered forgotten cargo. banghead
*EDIT, the right foot swings over the seat, not the left.  d'oh!

Yes, but I make a point of dismounting with my left foot still on the peg, not the ground. I think I dumped myself the first time, when I'd loaded my then CB750K5 and forgotten whatever-it-was was back there and didn't dismount like that.
