I took advantage of a break in the weather and took off for a ride to the coast. Left Saturday morning about 9:30 and did over 200 miles. Hit some lonely country roads missed turns, and finally got lost. It was cooler than I thought and I never did get warm. Tried several different gloves. As I approached the coast, the winds got colder.

However, the ride back today was fantastic!! The roads were empty, I was warm and the Nighthawk was hot.  I even tried to side saddle in some of the turns. It was one of those rides that I didn't want to end. I was in the saddle about 4 hours, seemed like 20 minutes.  wings

Looks like you had a good ride.  I love to ride back roads like those.

I've only been riding (again) for little over a year and I've really enjoyed discovering my state.

Hey drdubb great pics, when my "baby" gets her new paint job and is all back together we still need to make that BBQ run.  biker_h4h1

Pop me a PM when you want to go. I'm working now, but most weekends are clear. My sister lives on Chapel Hill -Greensboro Road so I can combine a quick visit with her. I also want to compare that Lexington Q to the eastern.
