Another day in the mid 60's!  The first half of the day I spent itemizing bank statements with my fellow business partners.  The second half of the day I went for about a 4 hour ride.  I only saw a couple other motorcycles out.  I guess Valentines day put a damper on the riding community.  That and the fact that most people have a real job to go to on Mondays.

I started by heading south down to Chickasaw Trace Park since I hadn't been there in awhile.  There's a great mountain bike trail there, but not much to do for a motorcycle.

I thought about taking a lap around the RC car track, but decided otherwise when I saw the park ranger drive by.

Rode up the dirt trail to the RC plane flying area, but nobody was flying today.

I then headed Northwest till I hooked up with the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Thanksgiving dinner!

I got a little lost on the way back home taking some mountain roads I'd never taken before.  There were some beautiful roads, but I'm afraid I probably couldn't find my way back to them.  I did get some good practice really leaning into those corners so hopefully I'll be ready for Deals Gap this Spring.

I'd done about 150 miles by the end of the day and had to fill up once.  Those were some good thrills for about $10 worth of petrol. biker_h4h1

Great pictures Jon, thanks for sharing! I can't wait to ride solo for a day to nowhere... Getting lost is half the fun!

Thanks for sharing. I would love to have ridden today. Looking forward to meeting you in May. Are you and Tbante connecting for the trip?

I'm hoping to.  I'm still not positive I can come yet, but I'd put my status at tentatively hopeful thumb  If so, I'll be joining up with Tbante for the ride over.  It'll be good to have a newer nighthawk as a companion.  Mine has never let me down, but I'd still be a little nervous going that far from home all alone on a 26 year old bike.  I'm thinking I'm gonna need some new tires before spring with the miles I've been putting on the last few days super

Nice report.  Has me thinking about a Natchez Trace weekend - maybe next month.  Fingers crossed.

Nice ride report ... scenic roads.  I like the idea of getting on the Nighthawk and taking off without a map!   beer

sigh...those roads look so smooth!
Gotta second Burgi's thought about California's roads ... they are pitiful!

Smooth roads, what a luxury!  No grid lock?  Whats up with that?!

Enjoy man, and thanks for taking us along.   beer
