Went to the Vintage show yesterday, and took one of my 700-S with me. This bike has only 7K original miles, and still has its original tires (original owner bike). Bike still needs a bunch of things done to it, to make it completely back to original (biggest thing being he painted the wheels all black in 1986, so it would look more like the "new" model Nighthawk-S he had seen at the dealer). In any event, it got a lot of attention, and was the only bike of that era and style at the show.
Show was smaller than I hoped for, but had a somewhat of a good selection of vintage bikes and parts (no 700-S stuff though). I did get a Vintage (one piece) cycle racing suit for $10.00, which will be next years Halloween costume (wife already has a racing costume she bought for next years party).
The BEST deal of the day, was from the guy selling a HUGE collection of brand new helmets! He had several brands, and must have bought out a dealer inventory. He had them all marked down to 1/2 what the store price was, and then decided to take another 1/2 off that price! I got the wife a really cool looking ($300.00) SHOEI helmet; he gave it to us for $50.00 with a soft bag (he took even less for this one, as it was the last one like it, and he didn't have the original box (didn't need the box)).

I went to the swap meet on Saturday also. I did not see anything with my name on it except a 1970 Plymouth Duster owner's manual ($5) - go figure. I was there at 9a and left at 9:30a. I did not see the 700S. You must have arrived after I left. Nice bike.

Thanks!....I got there about 10 minutes after you left (got a really late start). Are you a Mopar Guy? I would have bought that owners manual if it had still been there; I didn't see anyone selling any car parts.
We had a good time at the show (saw a bunch of friends), and then went to a Mopar guys "open house" for his parts business after the show. On the way home, we stopped in the Medina square, as they were having their annual Ice Sculpture contest; we looked at a bunch of ice carvings, and then had dinner in the square before heading home with the bike.

Yes, it's a "For Sale" sign....first of several I need to sell.... There are 4 red '84's sitting next to each other in that/my garage, and ALL have under 10K original miles (2 of them still have their original tires; that being one of them). I was going to wait till spring to sell, but the bike show was a good place to spend the first 1/2 the day, and put out a sign for the bike while I was there.
Got lots of attention, and 2 people took my info about it.

By all means, post pictures of those for-sale and prices.....I would like to see those 700's go to someone on NHF! Hopefully you are keeping one for yourself, so as not to leave the NHF
