Try photobucket.com. It's free and autosizes your pictures. Interested to see pictures of a $400 700S. Mine was $700!

Welcome, I would of picked that up for $400 in a second, nice find. It's worth more than you paid just in parts. Good luck with the project. Where in PA are you from?

i use servimg.com you just upload the pic direct, then click on links, copy the link and paste it. So much nicer, but no public access.

Okay Guys, now that all the introductions are done I'd like some tips, do's, dont's, ect... Hopefully I'll get it out around the block this weekend and see how everything works. Like I said earlier, 2nd gear is an issue. Based on what I'm reading in the manual, the case needs to be split. Any tricks to it? things to look for? Anyone do this before? Also, it will need tires. opinions? Thanks again guys!

Nice looking 700s; I can't speak to your specific issue with 2nd gear, but be aware that this site houses a subforum devoted specifically to drivetrain issues: http://nighthawk-forums.com/index.php/board,36.0.html

Hey there,
I just picked up a project bike that also has the second gear issue. We'll have to keep in touch and compare notes on this. I plan to split the case and expect to find a bent shift fork.

I plan to split the case and expect to find a bent shift fork.
Usually the shift fork bend is not noticeable to the naked eye. What you will see is scoring on the side of the shift fork...which indicates that it has been rubbing against something. If you haven't done so, check out the two video's in this post: http://nighthawk-forums.com/index.php/topic,4403.msg54032.html#msg54032
