Any friends in a border city you can ship to? How about shipping it to someone and picking it up at one of the rallys?

My inlaws are in Boston and visit a few times a year, and I will consider that next time I order something from USA
I'd prefer to be able to impulse shop every once in a while though shog and not have to wait and wait and wait for customs to finish snooping, or paying 24 buck to ship a couple of articles.

www.bikebandit.com

They've received some mixed reviews on here, but I've had good luck with them. I mostly use them for parts.

And, with apologies for my geographic ignorance, what country are we talking about?

I have bought from Motorcyclegear.com (formerly New Enough). They ship very quick and the shipping is not that bad.

If you want Parts, www.partsnmore.com offers a flat rate of $8.00 US in Canada. No customs, no tax. (http://www.partsnmore.com/help/#shipping_us)

For tires you can't beat www.petes-superbike.com. He will beat any price that you will find in Canada or some US retailers. His flat rate of shipping is 15 bucks for 1 tire in Ontario and 20 bucks for a pair. He ships overnight as well if it's in stock but can get most tires next day.

I used Royal Distributing last year when I bought my Zox helmet.  I got it pretty fast without any problems, I would recommend them.

this is a service that I have used more than once and it is excellent
www.kinek.com
if you live near the border it is a great deal cause shipping in the U.S. is nearly always free
pay your $5 and pick up your parcel
I have used it for clothing, bags and tires
