Yep, nice blue bike. I did a double take. First look I thought the dog was much taller and was standing on the far side of the bike. Little guy is actually standing on the NH! You may want to check and see if your shocks are adjustable.

to the addiction, great looking bike. The rear shocks, if they are stock, are adjustable to some degree. Do you have the owner's manual, and/or a shop manual (either Honda's or Clymers)? Try running some SeaFoam through the tank, it might help the hesitation. There is also a washer mod you can do to the carbs, info is around on that, too - some folks around here have had great results getting rid of that hesitation.

Howdy themlruts, Love that blue, too - enjoy your new ride. I recently did the washer mod Tryvelcro mentioned to my '92. It completely eliminated that low-speed stumble. Definitely do it. Here's the site with the photo instructions: http://www.nighthawk750.com/mods/carbneedlemod.htmlI got the washer grab-bag from RadioShack for $3.00 and found the process very easy, and I'm only a beginner wrencher. Ride safe!

Welcome to the group - ride safe. You got a great deal. This bike is known for virtually maintenance free - long term life. No valve adjustments (hydraulic lifters) - super reliable. That Tahitian Blue color was a one-year only choice for '93. Heck, the Hondaline sissy bar on your bike is worth about half of what you paid for the whole bike alone.
Your rear shocks appear to be stock and if so, are only adjustable for pre-load.
Progressive Suspension makes 2 different models for rear shocks for these bikes. One is heavier duty than the other. These also have only pre-load adjustment, but they are 1000 times better than stock. I have the heavy duty version and, even riding 2-up (myself 205 pounds, and my wife ... ahem.... much less than that), I only have them on the 2nd to softest setting. About $300.00.
Progressive also make replacement fork springs and they are a tremendous improvement for $100.00. There are several threads on this forum about these.
+1 on the sea foam. If you are mechanically inclined, cleaning and syncing the carbs is not that big a deal. Search for the pine-sol thread for some tips on this.
Hope you enjoy your bike.

to the NHF. Nice bike. I love that color. You may want to look into getting some Progressive shockS for the rear. The stock shocks are adjustable but, only to a certain extent. The bike will feel completely different with a good set of shocks on it. As far as the hesitation, how are the spark plugs? When was the bike tuned up? Plus, you could very well need to sync the carbs as well. +1 on running it with some Sea Foam too.

very clean looking bike. Making a large assumption of clean carbs, doing the washer mod can also help with slight hesitations. +1 on the progressive suspensions

Welcome aboard. I think I'm going to officically state that Tahitian Blue is my favorite stock NH color.
$1400 is a good deal -- there's one around here with about the same miles that's listed for $2200.

Thanks everyone. I am very excited about the new ride. It is snowing here in CT again and its only going to be in the fortys the next couple weeks. I am dieing to get back out on the the bike. I am definitely going to try the seafoam and do a clean on the carbs. I have rebuilt dirtbikes but i have never had to sync carbs. How hard is it? any tips and tricks? I will do a full tuneup before the season. What do you recommend for oil, oilfilter and plugs? Thanks

I love the Tahitian Blue. I also had to double take on the dog on the seat. I would have sworn it was a golden standing behind the bike. Keep the shiny side up!
