Twenty five years after giving up on dirt bikes, I have my first street bike, a 93 Nighthawk 750.  It is in good shape with 13,000 miles.  I have signed up for MSF (backlogged till May).  I plan to use the bike for most of my commuting, replacing my 11 mpg Ford 250 V10.  I already have learned that motorcycles are a lot like boats.  The purchase price is just the start to gearing up.

The Corbin seat and windshield should make it extra comfy.  thumb

Nice bike.  My Nighthawk also serves as relief duty in the summer to my V10 powered Super Duty daily driver.  I love the truck, but it does really suck down the gas!

wave Welcome Captnbob! Our bikes are twins.......and I am sure you know that red is the best color. You will discover that this forum is by far the best for getting infomation. The folks here are absolutelly the best and give freely of their experience/knowledge.
Nice to have another 'seasoned' citizen on the block.

I can't really tell much about the luggage rack.  It was installed by PO and there is no visible name on it.

Welcome to the group - ride safe.

It appears that your rear shocks have been either painted or replaced.  I don't remember seeing them in black on the aftermarket.

Loki and I had a great time riding in the vicinity of your neck of the woods on Saturday (West side of Toledo Bend - Hemphill, etc).  I'll definitely be back - maybe one weekend we could meet in the middle.

I thinking "Old Timer" should be reserved to those in the 80+ age category.  Hopefully they'll still be riding and posting on the forum.

And...they need to look like this smiley guy  gerg

HPPants, I would love to hook up with you sometime.  I spent a few months in Lafayette after Gustav.  Great time at the Cajun Festival.

Looks like a Ventura rack. Good stuff.
