I used to live in North Syracuse, right at I-81 and Taft road. Used to go through Watertown on our way to Tupper Lake for years.

I'm from Corning which is about an hour and 45 minutes from 'Cuse. My bike is not quite ready for a trip like that but in the coming weeks she should be ready to go. New stator and voltage regulator/rectifier, waiting for my new battery to charge now and will know for sure if solved my charging issue. No shorts are found in the electrical system. I am under the impression that having a bad voltage regulator can in turn burn out your stator. I would have got a new alt. rotor but I am also under the impression that a bad rotor will not burn out the other components of the charging system.  New silicon rectifier because I read that that can also cause problems if bad. I'm sorry that I always seem to go off on tangents but thats just the way my brain works.
