Were the final words spoken to me by my instructor at class this afternoon wings.  I simply can't recall the last time I was this excited about anything.  There are some things I need to work on, apparently I'm not looking through my turns early enough (I have been diligently I just need to turn my head a little sooner) and stopping quickly.  My quick stops were smooth but apparently I was 1' over where I should have been on the skill evaluation, tough to say if I engaged them at just the right time or if I was going 15 mph on the dot.  Regardless, everything will need to be revisited since I'll be on my bike now rather than the trainer.

Work on my bike starts this week (project log to follow, but it will probably be pretty boring), my jacket should be arriving this week as well (hope it fits) and will be looking to pick up crash pants probably locally because I don't want to wait any longer than I must unless the savings are monumental.

You now have a license to learn.

Practice the slow school skills at least an hour or two every month. Take the MSF maneuvers then modify them and hold yourself to a higher standard than they do.
Quick stops: 15mph is not realistic. Do them at 30mph then 50mph. Every time you do them, eliminate 6 to 12 inches off the previous stop until it's impossible to stop in less distance.

The well known and beyond reasonable crash gear source:

They'll ship in about the same amount of time it takes you to drive to the local motorcycle shop and get it.

I took 3 days off next week so I can spend some quality time getting familiar.  If I can't get my gear and bike together in time ( banghead ), well then I guess I'll just have a nice long weekend and some extra time to wrench.

I'll take a look at that site and do some comparison shopping.  I've already waited this long so another week isn't going to kill me, but if it's a relatively small difference in price I'd just assume not wait.

Mr. Bee isn't kidding, those folks are fast!  And their customer service is just silly.

Thanks all!  And pants have been ordered.  Pretty confident they will arrive before I'm done wrenching...

Edit: No joke on fast shipping, they got them out the door this morning.  Wow.

It must be a holiday or you called them late yesterday.

Better start toward your mailbox now or they'll get there before you do.

Oh. I have no clue what day of the week it is anymore.  giggle The next essential schedule related anything is around mid August sometime give or take a few weeks so it's going to get confusing for a while.
