I've been doing a lot of research into getting a good pair of riding pants.
I really like the Tour Master Apex leather pants - hard armor in knee and hip, tuck into boots style, and affordable.
However, every single source seems to be sold out/backordered. I found one source - ridersdiscount.com, that has access the medium in stock.

Tour Master sizing chart says the medium is equivalent to a 34 pants size, and has a 36" waist.
I normally wear a 32-34 jean (34 is usually  baggy). I'm just wondering if any of you own these pants and can comment on the sizing accuracy.  36" waist for a medium seems awfully big.

And no on else stocks the pants.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you don't mind me asking, where do you live?

I ask because leather, for the vast majority of the riding months in most areas, is incredibly hot to wear.  If it is too hot & uncomfortable, you won't wear it.

good point. i live in western MA.
next trip is going down to georgia and back, so yes, it will be hot.
but i'd rather be hot and well protected, then risk being too cold with less protection.

You can get textile that is vented, far more comfortable and a whole lot cooler.  They also offer very good protection, and you can get them for far less money than leather.
