I've been very happy with the riding jacket I purchased through CL last year ($40), but its one failing is that it's heavy with no venting. In the heat of summer (even here in Wisconsin), I pretty much have to remove my windscreen to ride comfortably. My latest CL find is my $35 riding pants, black, also somewhat heavy with no venting. I love the protection, but would like to ride a little cooler this summer.

Since last summer I've kept my eyes open for a good deal on a mesh riding jacket. The deal I have with SOQS is that I'm free to purchase pretty much any MC gear up to $50 without pre-approval from the family banker. Beyond that requires, um...negotiations. So I've been heavily trolling CL and places like motorcyclegear.com's Last Chance area (came across this, but the only color left in anything close to my size is in that ugly blue).

I'm an occasional ebay purchaser, so last night I tried doing a search for "mesh motorcycle jacket". I got 23 pages of results. After scanning through over half of them, I got frustrated and quit. Every one up to that point was a dealer putting up rotational listings of their store stock. This is not what I'm looking for; I'm searching for some guy that wants to unload his slightly used jacket.

Does anyone know if there's a way to filter out all these dealer listings so I can narrow the search a bit?

Easy... since you have a budget then all you care is the price and not where you buy it from.  So if you find a dealer that is selling it for $50 then you buy from that dealer.

If that's the case, then you should search just like you did before then use the "Search By" on top right of the results page, then select "Price plus shipping: lowest first".  You can further narrow it down to "Buy It Now Only" if you want to screen out all the auctions with low starting prices that might pop up on top.  And then further narrow down by size if you want - on the left.

Here is a sample:
