I'm thinking about buying a CBX750F, but I found one with a bit of a story.

Let me show it to you first:

Some of the wiring is hanging loose because it was stolen but found again two days later, also has a broken clutch lever, blinker and mirror because of that. It has done little over 60.000km/40.000mls and he's asking 400 euro's for it.

What do you guys think, nice find or pass? To comparison, I found a pretty one with the same millage for about 900 euro's.

OC, I love the CBX750F  thumb
They are a great bike and share the same engine that is in the Canadian Nighthawk S. The big difference being that the CBX750 is chain drive.

If it were me, I'd get the pretty one.

That of course is a large part of the reason I fell for the CBX in the first place ;)

If the pretty one had lower millage I'd definitely was gonna see how much I can talk the price down of the pretty one first. Perhaps I should just keep my eyes open until I find a pretty one with lower millage, don't really feel like changing another cam chain anytime soon, lol.

Could you please have a look at the cam chain thread again Gammer? I'm starting to run out of ideas other than pulling the head to see what's going on in there Sad

My awesome stepdad found me a used CBX750F manual on a car parts fair btw, in Dutch! I had him looking out for one ever since I got the Nighthawk knowing one would show up on those eventually, should make working on the engine a little easier in the future.

Lets not go there again (sorry, inside thing).

From what I gather, he is taking a break from the forum. His last post was around Christmas.

I know the two of you weren't exactly best friends, but well, that happens. I kinda liked the guy though. He was a little odd at times perhaps, but so am I so I'm not judging. And he helped me out a few times as well. I just checked his profile and it seems he hasn't been on since January anyways, but perhaps he's still lurking (hi old man)   Hap1

The lower fairing on my 92 cb750sc Nighthawk is from a cbx750. Took Eight months to find one online.
