Went for a ride with a friend today in north GA, rode up to dahlonega for lunch then over to Amicalola falls. I filled up before I left, then friend needed gas 50 miles in and I've never been one to pass a gas station so I filled up again, took a half gallon. Thought that was a bit fishy so I stoped again 50 miles later, another half gallon.

Count my blessings, or fix my rusted out mufflers?

50 mpg isn't unheard of...check your plugs to gauge the running condition of the engine.

50 miles to a half gallon, so 100 mpg

I'll check the plugs

The original gauges are missing entirely, I use a Trailtech Vapor for tach and speedo, calibrated to GPS so it should be reasonably accurate.

Not to jump off topic, but how do you like the Trail Tech Vapor. I have been looking into them, and they seem great, but I dont think they make a model for the '85 cb450, which is the only snag right now. Let alone one with GPS. Really interested on how you hooked it up.
