Since the cold weather is just about behind us, I changed windshields last weekend.  Took off the barn door and put on the fly screen.  My Nighthawk is like a new bike!

Put 200+ miles on it in the mountains Sunday.  It seemed quicker and smoother, and roll ons were much improved.  I felt so good I followed a sport bike in the twisties from Suches to Dahlonega down Hwy 60.  Spring riding is here!

I alway seem to forget how much drag there is with my windscreen on until that first day in the summer that I take it off.

Is your barn door a Plexifairing?  I love my PF 2 in the winter but feels good to go to a smaller on  with warmer weather.

Haven't been online for a while.  The "barn door" is an original Slipstreamer, now called the SO-3.  It's similar to the PF2.  I custom made some lowers for it, which makes it protect like the PF3.  It's great in the winter, but I love the better handling and gas mileage with the fly screen (Slipstreamer Spitfire).
