How are you going to black out chrome?

It's not quite black but it gives regular chrome the black chrome look. It would work on everything but exhaust.

It wouldn't work on the forks - the diameter of the surface that interacts with the fork seals has to be exact to thousands of an inch - no way you can paint it.

Not to mention it would probably just get rubbed off by the motion of the forks.

Do shops still do black chrome? That may be the only way to do it, pretty pricey too.

True. I didn't think of that.

The cb700sc tank cut in half look like it makes an awesome tail section. I love all fighter/military themed bikes

might want to try and add some clearance on the tank for the lower bars
I have drag bars on mine and no clearance issues. Just have to rotate controls a bit to keep them from hitting. Does not affect operation or safety at all.

Your tail section looks to low in the photoshop pics, just to let you know it looks like it will hit that tail section if you get a good dip or bump with the stock suspension. I have chopped my tail and put my plate where my seat ends. The first time around I did not extend it out beyond the highest point on the tire when at full compression and the plate got caught by the wheel and ripped off, scary as hell, but thankfully I was just testing it out and found this mistake by going over a speed bump at a local school on a weekend. Looking at the photo the tail will have to follow the original lines of the frame, which means you need to angle it up at the rear more to create room for the tire. Also, a couple little tips that I discovered in the process, you can save the wheel liner and just cut it to fit so that way you dont have debris all over the underside of the bike and dont ride in the rain unless you want your back to get blasted by water and muck! Great design though and looking forward to seeing the progress.

The aircraft decals are identical, as are the main images of the bike. If you look at the background of the modded bike there is tons of bad image smudging/adding to the image.

Look at the chevron on both- identical, including the horizontal smudge.

Just thought I'd share this idea here. I bought a CB700 and it came with an extra gas tank, so I'm planning on using it to make a nice cafe seat for it. Let me know what you think of this idea!

No one was trying to pass this off as an authentic image.

Yeah I dont understand how this became a thread on whether it is real or not and what program was used. It is obviously a doctored image to show what he was thinking, and a pretty good one.
