This is my first bike and what I learned on, it's great because it's just fast enough for the highway, but tiny enough that I can take it around the neighborhood for 4 weeks and fill it up with gas once.

I'm trying to get rid of it but I'm ignoring lowball offers because I'm hoping some yuppie/hipster/well meaning mom will come by and pay what I want for it. It's a classic.

Nice! It looks like a well taken care of classic!

It looks great...don't think I'd want to ride it on the Hwy though.

It's hysterical. Generally speaking the top speed is right around 65, but one time I got a good tailwind and got her all the way up to 70mph.

Sometimes you just need to get places and the most direct route is on the highway.

You still have your first bike.  It's fun and beautiful.  Why would you sell it?

Running at top speed in traffic seems very dangerous to me.

Cause this one is gonna pay for the stuff the 700s needs to get on the road. The Yamaha is great for pleasure riding but it's only any good during the day and I want to start taking some longer rides. So either I get a job (which I can't seem to find) or the Yamaha sells (which I haven't gotten any offers for yet.)

I'm serious when I say I think I bought the easiest learning curve bike on the entire planet, but I'm getting left behind with my group of riding friends and I want to start talking longer journeys. I'm sure I'll end back up in the 2 stroke Yamaha thumper world again. Maybe an RD350 next time.

SOLD!

And now that it's over and done with and not mine anymore I bought it for $450 and sold it for $700! I love older bikes.

MattR, very cool old bike.  I wish I was the one who bought it.
