New guy here, just wanted to share my other bike: Started life as your average Seca II and turned into something a little... different. It still needs some tweaking here and there, but it's pretty much done: The forks/swing arm/shock/wheels are all FZR600 w/R6 front calipers. I've also got a DRZ400SM... in pretty much stock form

I like that Seca II. I almost bought one with low miles, before I got my Nighthawk. How do you like the Seca? p.s. My brother had a DRZ400 (not the SM). But he sold it and upgraded to a Husky TE610

The Seca is a lot of fun... I was actually looking for a Nighthawk when I bought it a couple years ago. The only comparison I can give to the NH is the NH is noticeably heavier (I've not actually ridden my NH, it wasn't running properly when I bought it).
The SM is a cool bike, sometimes I wish it had more power, sometimes I wish it was a better dirt bike. I've only had it a few months, I bought it when I sold my Sportster. I'm not sure yet how long I'll keep it.

How does the SECA motor compare to the old XS or maxim motors?

Well the Seca II has the same motor that was in the Radian and FZ600, it's a P4 or inline 4, like the Nighthawk
