1984 650 will start up fine and run good while the engine is cold, get about 1 mile or so and it starts to chug and then dies, but won't restart.  Cranks but won't run.  Let it sit for couple hours and will start and run fine again, until warm.  Ran good for 2 short trips this spring, but now problems.  Changed the fuel filter, but it's not plugged at all.  When it died, it has spark and fuel comes out of the bowl drains on the carb when I opened them.  How do I find out what the problem is?

Combustion = Fuel + Air + Compression + Spark and something about it all happening at the right time.

Are your plugs wet when it cranks but won't start?

Not sure, I will have to check them next time it quits.  Maybe this weekend I can spend some time with it.

Thanks for the post...
