Awesome! I love the look of the Euro spec Nighthawk, especially the RWB colors.

This is the one I run in my 950 adv. Drastic improvement over a hella 100/80 watt lamp.

Coupon code ADV will save you 5%
I have the same bulb in my NCX, and I love it.

That blue is beautiful!

I'll be adding and improving some electrical stuff. I'm also going to do the suspension, but not sure which direction I'll go. Cogent Dynamics makes an emulator/spring set for the forks and a shock for the rear. There are also cartridge kits for the forks available.
Then I'll be redoing the seat, changing the oil and coolant, and checking bearings and things. It is supposed to be a snowy winter, so I should have plenty of time :(

Looks like an FZ09

Seems like everyone has moved on to the "adventure" touring bikes. The VFR12X, Tenere, FJ09, Versys, etc.

Really good looking bike, riper!

On thing that drove me nuts when I was visiting Israel, was the way scooter and motorcycle riders seemed to drag their feet for ever before putting them up on the pegs.

^This is what I was thinking too.

The Honda heated grips are a $250 option. I went with $60 Oxford grips instead.

You can't see the beak while riding it [emoji3]

Welcome to the club! I really love mine. Don't be too worried about maintenance. The valve checks are super easy with the way the engine is tilted forward. The worst part of maintenance is the air filter, which requires that you remove several pieces of plastic.

I do somewhat regret not getting the DCT/ABS version, but I was too in love with the idea of shifting.

THAT is how you do a proper cafe Nighthawk!

Yep, chain on the 800. I don't get the aversion to chain, but I've only had bikes with chains...

Dang, you've got to bump it fairly hard to tip it off of the center stand. My wife has bumped mine before, but never knocked it over.

I want to take this FJ for a ride. It looks like everything id want from a bike. I wonder if cruise will be an option in the near future.

I have had nothing but chain drive bikes. The extra maintenance is nothing more than spraying a little DuPont Chain Saver every once and a while. I've adjusted my chain once in 10k miles (not including a tire change).

A lot of riders love the DCT. I love shifting, so I went with the manual, but I wish Honda made ABS available on the standard. The NC700 really is a great bike. I've taken down some pretty rough jeep trails, and it handled them pretty well. I love the way it handles low speed maneuvers, and despite the cheap suspension, it handles twisty roads well. The CB500 seems like it's very similar in handling, it just has a higher strung engine and a lack of frunk. That storage compartment is fantastic!

the FZ's most likely have better suspensions than the small Hondas. They are all budget suspensions. I own the NCX, and it is great for what it is, but I'm saving up for a suspension and seat upgrade. At least the FZs are somewhat adjustable.
Having said that, you can improve the suspension on any of the budget bikes for under $1k

Mine is white also. I wanted the hi-viz yellow, but none of the models in that color fit my head well.

I've seen a few used '12 NC700Xs around for a little over $4200. By winter, you might be able to find one sub 4K. You may also want to look into the CB500F. It is similar in size, though a little lighter than the NC.

I love my NC. It's a great bike. I'm 6' with a 33" inseam. I have no problem flat-footing. I think with a 31" inseam she'd be fine. There are shorter folks on the NC forums too.

Yeah, price is high. I don't know what it is about Utah and Idaho, but most sellers think their bike is worth way more that it really is.

When I was in Jordan, the police all had those and a few had Yamaha 750s of some sort. I was floored when I saw the first one sitting outside of the airport when I arrived!
