It looks like it came out of a hermetically sealed time capsule! nice1 nice1

Haha,  it runs and drives like it looks.  I forgot how much fun these bikes are.  I ride it more often now than my FJR.

Bug-Off Concentrate with protein enzymes works well to break down bug splat.

I agree with you that the FJR is far superior in all aspects.    Someday I may sell them both and pick up a Gen 3 FJR.

Quite a bit of difference riding the FJR over the 650 Nighthawk.  Adding a Plexifairing 3 to the NH made it a much more comfortable ride.  The FJR makes the 650 feel like a  XS400.

Full choke with a bit of throttle when cold works well on my 84 NH.

Sure it was a 2017 EX?

Its possible it was just a run of the mill CB1100.  To be honest I didn't look at it all that closely, just thought it was kinda neat to see a New retro style bike on the showroom floor.

You might catch some flack for the windshield but I just mounted up a Plexifairing 3 on my 84 NH 650 and wow, what a much more comfortable ride when you have some wind protection.

Local dealer had one on the showroom floor.   I think throwing a leg over it and riding it would improve my first impression which was soley based on looks.

I have never driven a 700s but the CB650SC is truly a classic.  They still look good to the eye 35 years since there release back in 1983.

FJR is  one of the best Sport Touring Bikes made.   Rock solid and plenty of HP and storage.

The very first street bike I bought back when I was 19yrs old was a brand new 1983 650 Nighthawk.   I have always wanted another and I recently found and purchased a mint condition 1984, one owner with 3000 miles.    I also have an FJR that I ride most of the time but this Nighthawk always brings a smile to my face.
